Etymology

This species is named ‘ zvelebili ’, after Kamil V. Zvelebil (1927–2009), the outstanding Czech scholar of Tamil and Dravidian linguistics and literature. The name is treated as a noun in the genitive case.

Diagnosis

Chakra zvelebili sp. nov. resembles C. sarvatra but differs from it in having dense longitudinal striae above and smooth area adjacent to interantennal process and with reticulations between the setose protuberances on vertex and mesonotum; whereas in C. sarvatra longitudinal striae are present on dorsal and lateral sides of interantennal process and area between the setose protuberances on vertex and mesonotum is smooth.
