Range: —Northern Peru to Bolivia (CH); not found in Bolivia since the type was collected around 1830 .
Ecology: —Rare (known from a single collection); saxicolous; 2300 m.
Notes: —Blades 2-pinnate-pinnatifid to 4-pinnate; rhizome scales concolorous, brown. Larger than most other species of Cheilanthes , and blades more dissected.
