Cheilanthes poeppigiana Mett. ex Kuhn, Linnaea View in CoL 36: 84. 1869.
Range: — Ecuador to Bolivia ( CH, CO, TA) and Argentina.
Ecology: —Fairly common; saxicolous and terrestrial on cliffs, rocky and shrubby slopes, old stone walls; 1900– 3300 m (down to 150 m in coastal Peru) .
Notes: —Segments acute, lanceolate; sori continuous along the segment margins. Reminiscent of a tiny Pteris , and quite unlike any other Bolivian Cheilanthes .
