status

Chroococcidiopsis sp.2 ( Fig. 10C–D View FIGURE 10 ).

Colonies sarcinoid, up to four cells, 3.75–5.94 µm diam. Sheath firm, thin, smooth, non-lamellated, hyaline. Cells hemispherical, polygonal to irregular, 1.11–2.51 µm diam. Without individual envelopes. Cell content homogeneous, blue-green.

Habitat:— Concrete.

Notes:— This morphotype is similar to Chroococcidiopsis thermalis Geitler , but differs by habitat, being this species originally described to hot Springs ( Komárek & Anagnostidis, 1998).

Studied material:— PEUFR 56640, PEUFR 55783

Order Oscillatoriales Schaffner (1922: 131) View in CoL

Family Coleofasciculaceae Komárek, Kaštovský, Mareš et Johansen (2014: 309) .

Pycnacronema rubrum Martins et Branco in Martins et al. (2019: 155) ( Fig. 10E–F View FIGURE 10 ).

Trichomes solitary, unbranched, slightly constricted, not attenuated. Sheath absent. Cell isodiametric to sub-quadratic, 5.5–7.01 µm wide, 3.89–7.77 µm long, ratio l/w = 0.90. Apical cell rounded to conical-rounded, without calyptra or thickening. Cell content granulated, grayish-purple. With necridia.

Habitat:— Tree bark inside the forest; associated with Chroococcidiopsis sp.1 and Gloeocapsopsis sp.

Studied material:— PEUFR 55801

Family Microcoleaceae Strunecky, Johansen & Komárek (2013: 1176)

Filaments with numerous trichomes (≥15). Trichomes cylindrical, attenuated or not, not constricted. Sheath inconspicuous. Cells isodiametric to slight cylindrical, 3,04–7,13 µm diam., 3,38–7,32 µm long, ratio l/w = 1,18. Apical cell conical, with calyptra. Cell content with little granules near cross-wall, blue-green. Without necridia.

Habitat:— Rock totally exposed to the sun; associated with Stigonema fremyi , Scytonema schmidtii and Hassallia aff. andreassenii .
