Oxidase GoogleMaps activity is positive. In the API 20NE test, cells are positive for urease activity, hydrolysis of aesculin and gelatin, but negative for nitrate reduction; indole production; glucose fermentation; activity of arginine dihydrolase and β -galactosidase; and assimilation of D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain SS28 (= NIBRBAC000503391) was isolated from a soil sample collected from Gurye, Republic of Korea (35°11 ʹ 17.2 ʺ N, 127°32 ʹ 46.9 ʺ E).
