Chrysiptera talboti (Allen 1975) —Talbot's damselfish

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed on 3–4 June 2013 during ACIAR Aquarium Survey in Kavieng District (see Teitelbaum et al. 2013: 14); a video of a specimen taken at Nubilus Island, off eastern New Hanover , at 3–32 m depth, St. KR 88, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Andaman Sea and Indonesia east to Palau and Tonga, north to Philippines, south to Queensland ( Australia) and Loyalty Islands ( New Caledonia). Found in coastal, lagoon and seaward coral reefs, 2–35 m depth. Marine.
