Chrysopidia nigrata Navás, 1910a: 55 View in CoL . Type locality: India (Darjeeling). Lectotype in MNHN.

Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the antennae with reddish stripe on the outer side, the pronotum, mesoprescutum and metascutum with reddish quadrate spots, the triangular cell im, the 1st rs-psm crossvein located at 2/3 of im, the male sterna VIII + IV slightly exceeded the apex of ectoproct, the sickle-shaped entoprocessus wide at base and pointed at tip, and the arcessus curved at the middle.

Description. Male. Body length 10.8–11.9 mm, forewing length 14.9–15.5 mm, hindwing length 12.7–13.5 mm.

Head yellow, with reddish stripe behind compound eyes. Compound eyes black and prominent. Antennae with reddish stripe on outer side. Frons, clypeus and gena without spots. Maxillary palpi black on outer side, labial palpi brownish yellow.

Pronotum with pale reddish spots on anterolateral angle. Mesoprescutum and metascutum with reddish quadrate spots.

Legs with dense setae, without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation.

Forewing long and narrow, most of crossveins brown. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 20–26 crossveins; 13–14 radial crossvein present. 1st rs-psm crossvein located at 2/3 of im; im triangular; m1 smaller than m2; 10 crossveins present between Psm and Psc. c1 smaller than c2, dcc opened. A1 forked, A2 and A3 simple. Three series of gradate veins brown, number of gradates: 7–9/4–5/7–9.

Hindwing narrow, with black suffusion on apical posterior margin. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 18–20 crossveins; 13–14 radial crossveins and 9–10 psm-psc crossveins present. Three series of gradate veins, number of gradates: 8–10/4–6/7–8.

Abdomen with dense setae. Tergum VII and sternum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII obviously shorter than tergum VII; sternum VIII fused with sternum IX, slightly exceeded apex of ectoproct; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Gonarcus arcuate, lateral arms narrow at base and wide at tip; entoprocessus sickle-shaped, wide at base and pointed at tip; arcessus curved at middle.

Female. Body length 11.4–13.5 mm, forewing length 16.3–18.2 mm, hindwing length 12.9–14.9 mm.

Sternum VII slightly longer than tergum VII; tergum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII obviously shorter than tergum VII; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Subgenitale bilobed apically; spermatheca thick; vela short; ventral impression absent; duct long and coiled.

Distribution. China (Xizang, Yunnan); India (Darjeeling); Nepal (Junbesi).

Remarks. This species is recorded for the first time in China, and it can be distinguished easily by the sickle-shaped male entoprocessus and curved arcessus.
