Chrysopidia flavilineata Yang & Wang, 1994: 65 View in CoL . Type locality: China (Yunnan, Nanjingli ). Holotype in CAU.
Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the head with reddish spots behind compound eyes, the black terminal palpomere of maxillary palpi, the pronotum with irregular brown markings on lateral margin, the meso- and metanotum without markings, the short forewing, the triangular cell im, and the 1st rs-psm crossvein located at the end of im.
Description. Male. Body length 11.0 mm, forewing length 13.6–15.1 mm, hindwing length 11.9–12.0 mm.
Head yellow, with reddish spots behind compound eyes. Compound eyes brown and prominent. Antennae yellow, scape and pedicel wider than flagellum. Frons and gena without spots. Terminal palpomere of maxillary palpi black, labial palpi brownish yellow.
Pronotum with irregular brown markings on lateral margin. Meso- and metanotum without markings.
Legs with dense setae, without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation.
Forewing short and broad. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 22–23 crossveins; 11–12 radial crossveins present. 1st rs-psm crossvein located at end of im; im triangular; m1 smaller than m2; 11–12 crossveins present between Psm and Psc. c1 smaller than c2, dcc opened. A1 forked, A2 and A3 simple. Three series of gradate veins brown, number of gradates: 6–8/4–5/6–7.
Hindwing short and broad. Costal area with 18–20 crossveins; 12–13 radial crossveins and 10 psm-psc crossveins present. Three series of gradate veins, number of gradates: 6/3–4/7.
Material. Holotype ♂, China, Yunnan, Ruili, Nanjingli, 1981.V.05, Fasheng Li ( CAU) . Paratype: 1♂, same as holotype ( CAU) .
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Remarks. The genitalia of the type specimen of this species is lost. According to original description ( Yang & Wang 1994), this species has teardrop-shaped male entoprocessus and broad arcessus. This species can be distinguished by the above characters as well as the triangular cell im and the 1st rs-psm crossvein located at end of im.
