Description: ―Stems covered by short trichomes with admixture of long ones; leaves opposite (except those in the inflorescence, which are alternate or subopposite), obtuse at apex; stigmas sessile; seeds mostly vertical.
Included species: Pyankovia brachiata (Pall.) Akhani & Roalson.
