Distribution:— The Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar and southwestern China.
Notes:— Considering the variability of this species, it seems likely that C. hitendrae S.Das & S.K.Jain from India is not different from C. corymbosa . Dickason 7772 has only a young inflorescence but seems to belong here. Kermode 17357 at AMES is a mixture of a sterile Coelogyne plant and a flower of Cymbidium mastersii Griff. ex Lindl. in the packet.
Coelogyne ecarinata C.Schweinf. , Brittonia 4: 33, 1941. Type:— MYANMAR. Kachin State: Myitkyina District , 1830 m, 21 Mar 1939, Kingdon-Ward 434 (holotype: AMES; isotype: NY)

( RAF [s]); Myitkyina District : type .
Distribution:— Northern Myanmar and southwestern China.
Note:— The correct position of C. tsii needs more study. The relationships of C. ecarinata , C. ustulata C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f. and C. tsii remain unsettled.
