Notes: not Coelogyne elmeri Ames, Leafl. Philipp. Bot. View in CoL 5: 1556 (1912). The new name is in honour of Emma Osterman Elmer (1867–1956), wife of Adolph D. E. Elmer, collector of the type specimen; they were America botanists, interned in the Santo Tomas internment camp in the Philippines, where he died in 1942. She was the author of Our Philippine trees (1939) .
