Distribution:— The Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar and southwestern China.
Note:— Keenan et al. 3208 is a small-flowered form of this species that also occurs in China, which has been confused with C. nitida (Wall. ex D.Don) Lindl.

Gard. s.n. (K). Reported from Sagaing, Magway and Mandalay regions by Kress et al. (2003: 70), but we have not seen material from these areas.
Distribution:— Myanmar, Vietnam and southwestern China.
Note:— It is not really certain if O’Brien intended to describe C. sanderae ; the following week in the Gardeners’ Chronicle (ser. 3, 13: 391) it was explained that the relevant part of Reichenbachia had not reached the editor of Gardeners’ Chronicle in time, and the name could therefore not be credited to Kraenzlin.
