[red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Cyphon \ rectalis ” [in Broun’s hand], “Lectotype ♂ \ Cyphon rectalis Broun \ det. T. Nyholm 1982” [in Nyholm’s hand]. Paralectotype (NHM, here validated): card-mounted, genitalia mounted on glass slide pinned together with the specimen, “PARA- \ LECTO- \ TYPE” [round label with blue border], “1490” [in Broun’s hand], “Otago” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. Remarks. Broun (1886) examined an unknown number of specimens collected from Otago by Chalmer and Fulton.
