Status at New Ireland. New record, from Papua New Guinea, based on specimens photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 22 Apr. 2009 and 10 Dec. 2009.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Palau, north to Philippines. Found in sheltered reefs, 0–5 m depth. Marine.
