Type. India: Haryana, Holotype female ( PUCP).
Diagnosis. Elongate oval; 3.5 mm (n = 1) in length; 1.95 mm (n = 1) in width; derm piceous; thorax, with laterobasal cretaceous macula; basal prothoracic macula merging with macula around scutellum, then forming vitta on interval one to midpoint, becoming fascia on intervals 1–10 forming backtoback ‘‘C’’, similar to that found on Curculio calbum Fabricius ; scutellum moderate as long as broad, piceous, clothed with white scales. Male genitalia not dissected, female spermatheca found in Pajni and Singh (1986), page 166, figure 27.
Plant Associations. Eugenia jambolana Pajni and Singh (1986) .
Distribution. India: Haryana; China: Hainan Island, (CASC).
Remarks. Can be separated from C. calbum by piceous scutellum, and smaller size.
