Replaced synonym: Dendrobium minutiflorum S.C.Chen & Z.H.Tsi, Bull. Bot. Res., Harbin 9: 27, 1989, nom. illeg. [non D. minutiflorum Kraenzl. 1914 , non D. minutiflorum Gagnep. 1950 ].

Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : 450 m, 12 Nov 2016, Armstrong et al. 2407 ( NY). Distribution :— Northern Myanmar and southwestern China. Notes:— A new record for Myanmar. The species is similar to D. compactum but differs in having longer inflorescences, a slightly different lip shape with acute side lobes and an anther cap with lacerate front margin .
