Basionym: Epigeneium arunachalense Rao (2010: 3) . Type:— INDIA View in CoL . Arunachal Pradesh: Lower Subansiri district, Hakhetari-Rizampak, ca. 1200 m, April 1965, Sastry 44804 (ASSAM!).
Etymology: Subansiri district is the type locality, hence we propose subansiriense as the new specific epithet.
