Dihammophora chontalensis Bates, 1872: 188 View in CoL .
Dihammaphora chontalensis View in CoL ; Aurivillius, 1912: 429 (catalogue); Monné, 2005: 520 (catalogue); Monné and Bezark, 2008: 138 (checklist).
Redescription
Holotype female. Integument black; prothorax reddish. Head inconspicuously pubescent.
Antennae exceeding middle of elytra by about two segments. Segments 3–5 rugose-punctuate, 6–11 pubescent. Segmenst 3–5 subcylindrical, 3, 4 similar-sized, little shorter than 5; 6 barely longer than 5, more expanded apically; 7–10 decreasing in length, slightly expanded at apex, not particularly shortened or swollen; 11 suboval, as long as 3.
Prothorax subparallel at sides, base as broad as middle, slightly attenuate to apex; opaque, glabrous and impunctate. Pronotum somewhat raised at apical half; latero-basal gibbosities rounded, feebly prominent.
Elytra somewhat sinuously narrowed before middle. Disk depressed; dorsal costa prominent from base almost to apex. Surface densely clothed by whitish pubescence, almost obscuring punctures. Punctures moderately fine, deep, not seriate, separated by more than one diameter; a single row of punctures between dorsal and lateral costae, except at apical third with two rows. Margins weakly asperate. Elytral apices rounded-truncate.
Peduncles of femora shallowly sulcate. Metafemora surpassing elytral apices by about half the length of club. First segment of metatarsi 1.3 times as long as the following two combined.
Measurements (mm) female holotype. Total length, 7.0; prothorax length, 2.0; maximum width of prothorax, 1.3; elytral length, 4.5; humeral width, 1.6.
