Mémoires de l‘Institut scientifique de Madagascar, sér. B, 4: 149 (1952). — Lectotype (here designated): Perrier 2042 ( P! [ P00541789 ]; iso-, P! [ P00541787 , P00541788 ]). Perrier 2042 is here chosen as the lectotype of Diospyros mangorensis H.Perrier because the other syntype (Perrier 18054) is considered to represent a different as yet undetermined taxon.
