Synonyms in the area: Diphasia paarmani —Fraser 1938a; Calder et al. 2003 [polyp]. Remarks: according to Calder et al. (2003), Fraser’s specimens are too small, immature, and in poor condition for a reliable identification. We consider Fraser’s record as dubious.
Distribution in South America: polyp—Pacific Ocean, Ecuador, at 0.27°S 91.38°W in Isla Isabela (Fraser 1938a; Calder et al. 2003).
