8. Dohrniphora capillaris View in CoL sp.nov.
( Figs.15–16 View FIGURES 9 – 16 , 57 View FIGURES 55 – 68 , 70 View FIGURES 69 – 73 )
Male: Head. Frons dark brown, sub-shining, with sparse hairs. First row of bristles a little convex, antials closer to antero-laterals than to each other. Second row of bristles straight, pre-ocellars slightly further from each other than either is from a medio-lateral. Postpedicels brown, rounded-oval. Palp yellow, 3 times as long as its width, with 5 apical bristles and some short hairs on ventral face. Thorax. Scutum and pleuron brown. Scutellum brown, with 2 bristles and 2 hairs. Wing length 2.13mm. Costal index 0.47. Costal ratios 7.4:1.9:1. Costal cilia 0.03mm. Veins brown and membrane light grey. Halter yellow. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 6 dorsal bristles, of which the upmost is the longest. Fore tarsomeres slender, elongate. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 1/2 of its length. Hind coxal lobe yellow, long conical and with fine hairs. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apex. Hind femur yellow, except darker at dorsal edge. The peg-like bristles on posterior face of hind femur are very thin and hairlike, which arranged in a single row; above this with 1-3 hairs on posterior face just below dorsal edge. A basal process is near to the group of the peg-like bristles. Abdomen. Tergites uniformly brown. Venter of abdomen grey. Male terminalia brown, except cercus yellowish brown.
Distribution. China ( Taiwan).
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to very fine peg-like bristles on posterior face of hind femur.
Holotye: ♂, China: Taiwan, Hualian, Bilvshenmu (24°11' N, 121°24' E, 2150m), 20-VI-2011, Xiaoyan Liu.
Remarks. The species is distinguished from other species of the genus by the characters of fine hair-like group of peg-like bristles on posterior face of hind femur and number on fore tibia. In the key to the males of the genus of Dohrniphora of Australian and Oriental Regions ( Disney 1990a), the species is not very suitable for any couplet. In terms of peg-like bristles, it is somewhat similar to D. goodwini Disney , but different from latter in having yellow knob of halter and hind femur, and combination of characters of posterior face of hind femur.
