Male: Frons boader than high, dark brown, with sparse hairs. First row of bristles Straight, antials further from each other than either is to an antero-lateral. Second row of bristles concave, pre-ocellars further from each other than either is to a medio-lateral. Postpedicels dark brown, globose, slightly pointed. Pre-apical arista long with small hairs. Palp yellow, inflated, 2 times as long as its width, with 5 apical bristles. Thorax tergite and pleuron dark brown. Scutellum with 2 bristles and 2 short hairs Wing length 2.10mm. Costal index 0.51, Costal ratios 10.22:2.44:1. Costal cilia 0.02mm. Veins brown and membrane pale brown. Halter whitish yellow. Legs yellowish brown. Fore tibia with 4 dorsal bristles in a row, of which the upmost is the longest. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends to 2/3 of its length. Posterior face of hind femur with 4–6 peg-like bristles in a single curved row, and dorsally with 1–2 hairs just below dorsal edge. Microtrichia patch of hind femur extends to the outside of the group of peg-like bristles. Hind tibia without dorsal isolated bristle. Abdomen tergites uniformly dark brown, Venter yellowish brown. Terminalia brown. Cercus yellow.
Distribution. China (Guangdong).
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the extending microtrichia patch on the posterior face of the hind femur.
Holotype: ♂, China: Guangdong, Nanling (24°38'N, 113°38'E), 28-VII-2011, Jianfeng Wang; 3♂, same data as holotype.
Remarks. The species will not key out in Disney’s key (1990) very well. It somewhat will run to couplet 30 to D. bradburyi Disney , if the color of hind femur is ignored, but different from latter in having whitish knob of halters, without concavity on ventral margin of hind femur. It is also similar to D. prescherweberae Liu , but it differs from latter by uniformly dark brown abdominal tergites, and larger microtrichia patch and first row of frons bristles straight.
