Oxidase   GoogleMaps activity is negative. In the API 20NE test, cells are positive for nitrate reduction; urease activity; gelatin hydrolysis; and assimilation of D- glucose and D- maltose, but negative for indole production; glucose fermentation; activity of arginine dihydrolase and β -galactosidase; aesculin hydrolysis; and assimilation of L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain BT246 (= NIBRBAC000502996) was isolated from a soil sample collected from Uijeongbu, Republic of Korea (37°45 ʹ 15.6 ʺ N, 127°02 ʹ 16.4 ʺ E).
