13. Draba melanopus Komarov (1896: 102) View in CoL .

Type locality indication: “On stony soil in subalpine zone V 93. Kumar, Kuli-Mogif” [originally in Russian].

Lectotype (designated here):— TAJIKISTAN. [Sughd Prov., Seravshan range, Fan Mts. ], Kuli-Mohif. Alt. 7500 pd., [fl., fr. prim.]. 8 May 1893. V. L. Komarov s.n. ( LE!) . Isolectotype B 10 0241630 !; syntype in LE !

The mere listing by Jafri (1973: 145) of “Sarawashan, Komarov (LE)” as the type of D. melanopus does not constitute an effective lectotypification of this name because his citation lacked details like locality data or collection date, without which it is equally applicable to both collections representing the original material and available at LE.

Both of Komarov’s syntypes are mounted on the same herbarium sheet, and the lectotype is represented by six plants mounted on the left side of the sheet. The collections were annotated by Botschantzev, Pohle, and Lipsky as D. melanopus and by Gilg as D. linearis .
