Diagnosis: Anterior reclinate small (OR2/OR1 0.73, vs.>.08–0.93); apex of male abdomen dark (including epandrium); distiphallus width in dorsoventral view at least twice that of phallus stem, large and thick in lateral view, with fine medial spicules, no medial scales; lateral margin of aedeagus not serrate, tip papillate.
Description: Coloration typical of group, katepisternum and meron very slightly infuscate and pollinose; tergite 6 lighter than preceding segments, epandrium and cerci darker. Setation as in diagnosis and measurements. Protarsal spines with typical array of 8 fang-shaped spines alternating in size, 4 on each on two basal tarsomeres. Male genitalia: Hypandrium with narrowed anterior end, width 0.5x the posterior end; phallus in dorsoventral view gradually broadened subapically to at least twice the width of phallus shaft. Like cameroonensis , without coarse or fine scales, only minute pimpules apically, short, dense spicules medially; aedeagus best distinguished from cameroonensis in lateral view, freidbergi being larger and much thicker ( Fig. 12h View FIGURE 12 , cf. fig. 12e). Female unknown. Measurements:
Head: HD/HW 0.77; FL/LFW 0.89; VB2/VB1 0.64; EW/ED 0.67; OR2/OR1 0.73; OR3/OR1 1.06; OC/POC 1.50; FW/FD 0.68; ODB/ODA 0.40. Thorax: ThL 0.99 mm.; UPS/LHS 0.82; LHS/ThL 0.23; ADC/PDC 0.46; AKE/PKE 0.63; LF1/LF2 0.84.
Holotype: Male , HS-06, “ Cameroon: 20 Km S. Bamenda, 1800 m, 22.XI.1987, A. Freidberg. ” Minuten doublemounted, genitalia dissected by DG; in TAU.
