Type locality: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Herzeg-Bosnia county (Hercegbosanska županija) (n°10), Livno municipality, Dinara Planina (Dinaric Alps), Troglav massif, Prolog mountain, Mračna Pećina (cave), N43°49’46” E16°44’38” .

Type material: Holotype male labelled as follows: “Mračna Pećina / Prolog—Dinara Planina - BiH / VIII. 2017 — VI. 2018 / Quéinnec and Ollivier leg.” (white label, p) / “ Holotype Duvalius (Neoduvalius) lohaji nov. sp. Quéinnec & Ollivier des.” (red label, p), in cEQ; Paratypes: two females, with same general data as holotype, but one labelled: “ VI. 2016 — VI. 2017 ” and “ Paratype Duvalius (Neoduvalius) lohaji nov sp. Quéinnec & Ollivier des.” (red label, p) in cEO, cEQ; Remains of one specimen (a pair of elytra), same locality and collectors but “ 12. Black arrowheads indicate relative positions of the setae belonging to the humeral umbilicate series; in all genera of the Duvalius lineage the humeral setae are generally mutually equidistant, that is also the case in Duvaliaphaenops (C) and correspond to a plesiomorphic aggregated state, while in few genera, e.g. Agostinia (B) and Trichaphaenops (D) the first, second and third setae are more closely related than the third and fourth one (red arrowheads) (Jeannel, 1928). Among the genera Anophthalmus sp. (not shown) and in D. (N.) lohaji n. sp. (A), the position of the first humeral seta (= red arrowhead) is quite variable but is usually positioned anteriorly and is more or less shifted inward along the 7th stria. Among Duvalius lineage, disaggregated conditions are probably convergent and independently derived. White arrowheads indicate the relative position of the discal and preapical setae; the anterior one is located at the level of the second (Agostinia, B), the third (D. (N.) lohaji n. sp., A, and Duvaliaphaenops, C) or the fourth (Trichaphaenops, D) humeral seta.
