Genus Echinonyssus Hirst, 1925

Echinonyssus butantanensis (Fonseca, 1932)

Distribution and habitats. Lorestan Province (Khorramabad), soil (Hasanvand et al. 2014a).

Echinonyssus meridianus (Zemskaja, 1955)

Distribution and habitats. Khorasan Razavi Province (Mashhad), associated with rodents ( Meriones libycus Lichtenstein ) (Kazemi et al. 2015).

Note: Both of the above-mentioned species have been previously reported in the Hirstionyssus genus.
