Material examined. Syntype?, India, Andaman Islands, Narkondam Island ( BMNH). Distribution. India (Narkondam Island).

Remarks. Distant (1916) described (and later illustrated, Distant, 1916) E. insularis based on an unknown number of specimens. The external male genitalia of the extant syntype (originally stated as female) is here figured for the first time.
