Ogcodes reginae View in CoL reared from Clubiona leucaspis (Simon) (Clubionidae) (fig. 1)
Locality. France, Département Bouches du Rhône, La Ciotat, 5°37′54.2′′E 43°11′54.8′′N, 22.–30.VI.2011, leg. & reared by Hélène Dumas.
Host. Subadult Clubiona leucaspis ♀ (DNA-voucher CK519). The spider remains allowed a genus level identification only. Species identification was achieved by entering our 564 bp long host spider COI sequence into the BOLD identification system (BIS). A search in the database “All Barcode Records on BOLD with a minimum sequence length of 500 bp” (http://www.boldsystems.org/index.php/IDS_OpenIdEngine) (17.01.2013) retrieved 99.82% similarity with C. leucaspis from Italy (BOLD sample IDs: RMNH.ARA.16237 & RMNH.ARA.16190) and 98.91% similarity with C. leucaspis from Germany (BOLD sample IDs: BC ZSM ARA 0 0 264 & BC ZSM ARA 00265), respectively. The second closest taxon, Clubiona comta C.L. Koch has a similarity of 93.26% only.
Parasitoid. Ogcodes reginae ♀ (DNA-voucher CK518). Hélène Dumas spotted the Acroceridae pupa on 22.VI.2011 on a leaf of an Eleagnus Linnaeus plant in her garden, about 1.5 m above the ground. She collected the pupa together with two curled leaves that contained the spider remains. The fly emerged on 30.VI.2011 and was not very active, only walking a few steps in the rearing box.
