Empis apfelbecki Strobl, 1898b: 500 View in CoL . Type locality: Alpes Hercegovinae , Plasa bei Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Material examined. SERBIA: Crni Vrh Mt. , 43.407°N 22.587°E, 800 m, 1–8.v.2015, N. Vikhrev (2 ♂, ZMMU) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Palaearctic: Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia.
Remarks. The species has been known only from the type locality. First record for Serbia.
