33. E. wahli View in CoL sp. nov. ( Fig. 10q View FIGURE 10 )

This species seems to be more related to E. dispilus (see comments above on this species), but Table 3 provides most of the characteristics to separate both species, as well as the fore wing sclerites ( Fig. 10q View FIGURE 10 ).

DESCRIPTION. HEAD: Mandibles moderately long, more or less parallelsided distally, apically twisted about 50º; upper mandibular tooth subcylindrical, 1.2 times as long as the lower tooth; outer mandibular surface with fine scattered pubescence, with a weak proximoventral concavity. Labrum 0.3 times as long as broad; malar space 0.4 times as long as basal mandibular width. Clypeus in profile weakly convex, margin blunt; clypeus in front view 1.6 times as broad as long. Head in dorsal view with posterior ocellus close but not touching eye; FI = 56 %. Occipital carina complete, joining to hypostomal carina about 0.6 times the basal mandibular width away from mandible. Antenna with 55 flagellar segments; 20th segment 1.67 times as long as broad. MESOSOMA: Mesoescutum polished, finely punctate; notauli weak but discernible. Mesopleuron polished, the upper part punctate, the lower part from punctate to punctostriate; epicnemial carina inclined towards anterior margin of pleuron. Scutellum in profile moderately convex, laterally carinate, in dorsal view 1.3 times as long as anteriorly broad; punctate, especially at base. Metapleuron moderately convex, from punctate to almost striate. Submetapleural carina usually evenly anteriorly broadened; posterior transverse carina of mesosternum complete. Propodeum in profile declivous; anterior transverse carina complete, posterior transverse carina absent; anterior area from smooth to striate; spiracular area punctured; posterior area wrinkled to reticulate; lateral longitudinal carina absent. Fore wing length 14 mm; AI = 1.20; CI = 0.55; ICI = 0.54; SDI = 1.30; cua proximal to the base of Rs&M by 0.1 times its own length; marginal cell proximally glabrous. Hind wing with 7 hamuli on R 1; 1st and 2nd abscissa of RS straight. Middle leg with longer tibial spur 1.7 times length of the shorter. Hind leg with coxa in profile 1.65 times as long as deep; 4th segment of tarsus 2.7 times as long as broad; claws long, bearing fine pectinae, apically abruptly curved. METASOMA: Metasoma long and slender; tergite 2 in profile 5.9 times as long as posteriorly deep, thyridia elliptical and separated from anterior margin of tergite by 3.6 times its own length. Ovipositor slender. COLOUR: Paler brownish orange, with head paler yellow; mesoscutum with dark vittae, terminal segments of metasoma brownish; interocellar area yellow; antenna orange; pterostigma yellowish brown; wings hyaline.

ETYMOLOGY: I dedicate this species in honor of Dr. David Wahl (American Entomological Institute, AEI) as a gesture of thanks for all of his advises to my work, for sending me valuable literature on Ichneumonidae , and for allow me to visit and to study part of the Ophioninae collection at the AEI.
