T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Colombia, Cundinamarca, Usaquén, Alt. 3,000 m, Colector, Jilia Orrepo, Fecha, 11-IX-1939 (WOPC). Paratype: 1 specimen. COLOMBIA: Bogotá (MNHN, 1).
D i a g n o s i s: Black, except elytron with pair of yellow fascia, elytra roughly sculptured.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 6.6 mm; width 1.2 mm. Form: As in Fig. 1 View Figs 1-4 . Head: (EW/FW 20/60). Thorax: Elytral disc roughly sculptured; (PL/PW 180/180); (EL/EW 320/90). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 65).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, aspera, is a Latin adjective with a meaning of "rough".
