Rhachomyces mirei Balazuc View in CoL , Bulletin du Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, botanique 29: 1, 1977.

Known distribution. Reported on Eotachys spp. ( Carabidae ) from Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, and on Tachys sp. from Taiwan ( Terada 1978).

New record from Sierra Leone. Western Area, Guma Valley, 26.I.2013, W. Rossi , on the abdomen of Tachys (s. str.) sp.

Remarks. This parasite was found on only one of the very many Tachyini collected in Sierra Leone, unlike Laboulbenia egens which was quite common on closely related hosts.

Rhizomyces confusus Thaxter, Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences 53: 710, 1918 ( Figure 5c View FIGURE 5 )

Known distribution. This species was first considered as a variety of Rhizomyces crispatus Thaxt. , from which was later separated. The description is based on thalli from Cameroon and South Africa found on unidentified Diopsidae (as: “species of Diopsis ”) ( Thaxter 1908; 1931).

New record from Sierra Leone. Western Area, Freetown, Fourah Bay College, 22.II.1992, W. Rossi , on the abdomen of Chaetodiopsis (= Diasemopsis ) meigenii (Westwood).

Remarks. The new record is the first after the description of the species.
