Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from all other Neotropical Epirhyssa by the combination of the following characters: 1) fore wing with two blackish bands; 2) apex of hind wing blackish; 3) facial orbits generally white (blackish in a few specimens); and 4) base of hind coxae orange.
Distribution. Brazil; Colombia; Ecuador; Peru.

Biological notes. This species is well distributed in the whole Amazon region and is recorded for the first time from Colombia and Ecuador.
