Description. Female. Body length 1.1−1.5 mm. Body dark brown with a metallic blue-green sheen; antenna ( Fig. 65 View FIGURES 65 − 68. 65 − 68 ) generally dark brown except F6 yellow; fore wing with infuscate pattern as in Fig. 66 View FIGURES 65 − 68. 65 − 68 ; fore leg dark brown except base of femur and apex of tibia yellow; mid and hind legs similar to E. intersectus .

Head. Frontovertex at anterior ocellus about 1/5 head width; ocelli forming an angle of about 40º; posterior ocellus nearly touching inner eye margin, separated from occipital margin by about 3 × its own diameter; antennal scape about 3 × as long as wide; F1−F3 short and transverse, each distinctly smaller than F4; F4 slightly broader than long, F5 and F6 sub quadrate; mandible with two teeth and an upper truncation.

Thorax. Fore wing ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 65 − 68. 65 − 68 ) about 2.5 × as long as broad; marginal vein about as long as stigmal vein; postmarginal vein short.

Gaster. Ovipositor sheaths ( Fig. 68 View FIGURES 65 − 68. 65 − 68 ) slightly exserted, by 1/7−1/6 gaster length.

Relative measurements. MT 60, OL 80, GL 20.

Male. Generally similar to female except for antennae and genitalia (see Tachikawa, 1955, 1963).

Hosts. Lindingaspis setiger (Maskell) , Pseudaonidia duplex (Cockerell) (Homoptera: Diaspididae ) (Tachikawa 1963; Trjapitzin 1989).

Distribution. China ( Zhang & Huang, 2004; Xu & Huang, 2004), Japan ( Tachikawa, 1963b).

Material examined. CHINA: Hebei, Xiaowutai Mt., 24.vii.1990, alt. 1300 m, coll. T.L. Chen, by sweeping (4 ΨΨ, 1 ɗ). Jilin, Changbai Mt., 24.vii.1990, coll. D.W. Huang (1 Ψ). Liaoning, Shenyang, viii.1991, coll. X.G. Yu (2 ΨΨ). Shanxi, Lishan Mt., 1.viii.2006, alt. 1350 m, coll. L. Ding, by sweeping (1 Ψ, 4 ɗɗ); Wutai Mt., 14.vii.2006, alt. 1780 m, coll. Y.Z. Zhang, by sweeping (1 Ψ).
