This species was originally described based on the holotype micropterous female and a paratype macropterous male from Green Island (Taidung), Taiwan. Unfortunately, both of these specimens seem to be more or less crushed by the coverslip. Through the courtesy of Dr. Chin-Ling Wang, we examined some images of the paratype male ( Figs 186–189 View FIGURES 182–189 ). It is possibly related to E. thai in having the postocellar setae situated between the posterior ocelli, but it can be distinguished easily by the key above.
