World distribution. Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Chile.

Chilean distribution. From Tarapacá to the Metropolitan region ( Fig. 187 ).

Altitudinal range. From coastal to highland ecosystems (5– 2,770 m.a.s.l.).

Biology and notes. Eupeodes rojasi is an important predator of the woolly apple aphid Eriosoma lanigerum (Hausamann) ( Thompson 1999a) . Other data about its biology or ecology are unknown.

Conservation status. LC; EOO = 117,264 km 2, AOO = 52 km 2 and 11 localities (or subpopulations).
