Euryopis pusilla Keyserling, 1886: 263 , pl. 21, fig. 311 (Female holotype from Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil, deposited in the Natural History Museum, London, not examined).

Diagnosis. The male of Dipoena pussila resembles that of D. atlantica Chickering, 1943 (see Levi, 1963: 163, fig. 154) in the theridioid tegular apophysis pointed ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 28 – 33 ), but differs in the median apophysis longer, conductor large, theridioid tegular apophysis longer ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 28 – 33 ) and in the pattern and shape of the carapace in lateral view ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 28 – 33 ).

Description. Male (MCN 42852): Total length 1.47. Carapace length 0.69, width 0.60. Clypeus height 0.42. Sternum length 0.33, width 0.33. Abdomen length 0.73, width 0.79, height 0.71. Leg formula IV/I/II/III; segment length (I/II/III/IV): femora 0.54/0.48/0.42/0.52; patellae + tibiae 0.52/0.50/0.42/0.54; metatarsi + tarsi 0.52/0.52/ 0.52/0.56; total 1.58/1.50/1.36/1.62. Eye diameter and interdistance: AME 0.08, ALE 0.06, PME 0.07 and PLE 0.07; AME–AME 0.02, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.03, PME–PLE 0.08. Eyes margined with black. Carapace high ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 28 – 33 ), with grooves ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 28 – 33 ), dark brown, with marginal setae. Sternum, endites and labium dark brown. Chelicerae brown. Legs dark brown, except coxae III and IV, and tarsi yellow. Abdomen circular ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 28 – 33 ), dorsum dark brown with little white spots, venter dark brown. Spinnerets dark brown, with a white spot above the spinnerets.

Female. Described by Levi (1963: 165; figs. 160-162).

Variation. Males (n=5). Total length 1.38–1.53; carapace length 0.65–0.73; femur I 0.54-0.56. The color pattern is quite variable from dark brown to brown in carapace.

Remarks. Males and females were collected together in various localities in Brazil.
