Note: F. confucius from Thailand reported by Starý et al. (2008), probably belongs to this new species. On the basis of the semicircular ovipositor sheath, Fissicaudus thailandicus is closely related to F. confucius , differring from the latter by having straight prongs with almost parallel sides and bearing 3 long setae on the dorsal surface ( Starý et al. 2010).
