Diagnosis. The species is superficially similar to F. thapsina Wu and Park , but can be distinguished by the male genitalia: costa of valva nearly straight, juxta sharply pointed at laterocaudal apices, aedeagus with almost quadrate sclerotized plates medially, and narrowed apex.
Adult ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 17 – 32 , paratype in USNM). Wingspan, 10.0–12.0 mm.

USNM- 89614; 13♂, 19Ψ - dawattakele 1,800 ft, 19–20 XI 1976; Kandy, 10–23 I 1970; Peradeniya 2,300 ft, 5–23 I 1970; Rat Dist. Uggalkaltota 350 ft, 31 I – 8 II 1970; Panamure 500 ft, 15–21 X 1970; Eraporu, Ganga, 16 X 1970; Mata Dist., Sigiriya 800 ft, 13–14 XI 1976; Labugama Reservoir 400 ft, 2–3 X 1976. All specimens are in the USNM.
