Gastrichelius halictivorus Rondani, 1856 View in CoL
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1856: 156.
TYPE LOCALITY: Rondani gave no type locality in his original description but presumably it is Italy because the work deals with Italian species .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype ( MZUF: Box 48): Gastrichelius R. Triclis Lw. / halictivorus Rndn. / 2651; 1 ♀, syntype (missing left hind-leg) ( MZUB: Box 346): 21 45 / Gaserospila halictivorus Rndn. , ex agro Parmensi / halictivorus Rndn , Parma.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Triclis olivaceus (Loew, 1851) ( Lehr 1988: 213) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1856: 156) designated Gastrichelius halictivorus as the type species for the genus Gastrichelius Rondani, 1856 , but he did not provide a detailed description, type locality, number or sex of the specimens. We found two syntypes in this study. An additional three specimens numbered “2651” in the MZUF are not included in the type series because their labels are yellowish rather than the greenish color of Rondani’s original handwritten ones and are in a lower row in the Box, for which reason we treat them to be subsequent additions. The MZUB specimen is labeled Gaserospila halictivorus Rndn. Morge (1959b: 92) used the name Gaserospila, which O’Hara et al. (2011: 196) considered as unavailable.
