Cells form a small colony or solitary, often double, blue green or dark grey in color. Cell cyanoprokaryotic, spherical or oval, irregularly or parallelly striated, slightly keritomized, 3.9-5.8 μm in diameter. Divided by binary fis- sion, hemispherical and a short time two together after division.

Ecology. This species was isolated on the wet soil surface of tropical forests ( Korelusová et al., 2009), and in this study from gravel submerged in freshwater.

Distribution. Papua-New Guinea ( Korelusová et al., 2009).

Site of collection. Site 1.
