9. Gonatopus ghanensis (Olmi, 1987) new comb.

Pseudogonatopus ghanensis Olmi1987c: 54 .

Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 3.1 mm. Completely testaceous, except petiole black. Antenna clavate; an- tennomeres in following proportions: 6:5:14:7:6:6:6:5:4.5:7. Head excavated, shiny, very slightly granulate; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; POL = 1.5; OL = 2; OOL = 7. Palpal formula 4/2. Pronotum shiny, granulate, crossed by strong transverse impression. Mesoscutum dull, granulate. Mesoscutellum shiny, unsculptured. Metanotum flat, unsculptured, about coplanar to mesoscutellum; sides of metanotum rounded. Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, unsculptured; propodeal declivity, mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture obsolete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 15:3:5:13:20. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 172D ) with one large subapical tooth and one row of five lamellae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 172D ) with two rows of 17 lamellae; apex with eight lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Material examined. Type: ♀ holotype: GHANA: Greater Accra Region, Dawhenya , 3.VII.1972, on rice, Sche- belreiter leg. ( NHMUK) .

Hosts. Unknown.

Distribution. Ghana.

Remarks. Gonatopus ghanensis was described under the genus Pseudogonatopus , that is now a junior synonym of Gonatopus . This is the reason for the new combination presented above.
