Range:— Costa Rica and Panama; Colombia to Bolivia (CO).
Ecology:— Rare, known from a single Bolivian collection; terrestrial in humid forests; 1000 m.
Notes:— Rachises and costae abaxially have dense, rather uniformly short stellate hairs, and lack acicular hairs entirely; adaxial blade surfaces are glabrous between veins; bud(s) usually present in axil(s) of distal pinnae; and sori have large indusia.
