Type:— CHINA. Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: Laibin City, grows on the steep limestone hills of the karst, elevation ca. 230 m, 8 May 2016 (flower, ♂), K. W. Luo 1605035 (holotype IBSC!, isotypes GXF!, HNNU!).

Description:— Guihaia lancifolia Luo & Xing (2016: 286) .

Notes:—This species clearly differs from Guihaia argyrata ( Lee & Wei 1982: 131) Lee, Wei & Dransfield (1985: 9) and G. grossifibrosa ( Gagnepain 1937: 159) Dransfield, Lee & Wei (1985: 12) in its long undivided leaf blades. Respectively, it is distinguished from G. argyrata by glabrous sepals and ellipsoidal fruit, and has some differences from G. grossifibrosa in the aspect of the erect and spine-like sheath fibers.

Additional specimens examined (paratypes):— CHINA. Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: Laibin City , the same population, 8 September 2015 (fruit), K. W. Luo 1509012 ( IBSC!, GXF!, HNNU!) ; ibidem, 8 May 2016 (flower, ♀), K. W. Luo 1605036 ( IBSC!, GXF!, HNNU!) .
