ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866d: 34 (key), 39 (description) [1867b: 118 (key), 123 (description)].
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus subapenninis agri parmensis [ Parmese sub-Apennine hills ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype ( MZUF: Box 27): Helomyza Fall. / pilimana Rndn., Apenn. [= Apennines] / 1461.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Suillia crinimana (Czerny, 1904) ( Gorodkov 1984b: 35) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1866d: 39) described Helomyza pilimana from a single male: “ Unicum marem … legi [I collected a single male]”, publishing the species first in a separate (1866d) and then in the journal version (1867b).
