Comments.

The species is endemic to southwestern Angola and northern Namibia ( Marques et al. 2018; Ceríaco et al. 2020 c; Lobón-Rovira et al. 2021). Although H. benguellensis appears to be very common in the Angolan Escarpment areas, it has also been found in more coastal environments in southwestern Namibe Province ( Lobón-Rovira et al. 2021). The species is strongly associated with rupiculous habitats.
