Diagnosis. Together with H. adelungi the only members of the bolivari -group having the spine pattern [8.7.4] on the hindtibia, distinguished from the latter species by the smaller size, the colouration of the pronotum, and shape and colouration of tegmina.

Material studied. Syntypes, 2♂, Mogador, Mz. Escalera (prep.: Bo 1356, Bo 1359). (M. Madrid) .

Description of male. Size. Length of pronotum: 4.7 mm; length of tegmina 15 mm.

Colouration. Head. Vertex dark brown, face lightly coloured, whitish to ochreous. Pronotum along the anterior margin with lightly coloured, towards the middle strongly broadening band, median third transparent, but narrowed by a brownish triangle arising from the darker posterior surface, lateral parts of the band whitish yellow; posterior surface in the center light brown, towards posteriorly and laterally darker brown. Tegmina with anal field medium brown, remaining surface much lighter coloured, costal field whitish transparent, anal furrow and a broad stripe accompanying the subcosta posteriorly along its basal part transparent ( Fig. 20C View FIGURE 20 ). Remaining body ochreous.

Head. Distance between eyes greater than between ocelli, the latter as great as or slightly smaller than diameter of ocelli; interocellar depression without distinct foveolae, interantennal area with a pair of elevations fairly reaching the height of the clypeus.

Pronotum. Anterior border mesally with a weak sinusoidal projection, lateral borders subtruncate.

Wings. Relatively short. Tegmina more elongate than in the preceding species, anterior border at a third of the length with a posterior deflection followed by a shallow concavity, apex fairly mesally ( Fig. 20C View FIGURE 20 ).

Other characters. Tibia armament: [1.8.0][6.8.1][8.7.4], dorsal spines of the hindtibia in two groups à 5 and 3, ventral spines in two groups à 2.—Cercal tricholiths: Fig. 19B View FIGURE 19 .—Subgenital plate: Fig. 4G View FIGURE 4 .—Right phallomere: Fig. 4H View FIGURE 4 .
