Male characters. Tibia armament: [1.8.0][6.8.0][8.7.3], dorsal spines of hindtibia distributed in two groups (5+3), ventral spines arranged in an oblique line, hindtibia rather strongly bent.—Subgenital plate: Fig. 4A .—Right phallomere: Fig. 4B .—Supraanal plate: Fig. 15C .

Female: Chopard 1929, 324.

B. Subgenus Heterogamisca Bey-Bienko, 1950 , status nov.

Type species. Polyphaga bolivari Adelung, 1914

Diagnosis. As in the preceding subgenus with a Type 1 right phallomere and 8 spines in the apical whorl of the midtibia, ventral surface of the midtibia, however, with one spine [6.8.1], hindtibia less strongly bent, with four ventral spines, alternating in two longitudinal rows [n.7.4]; mid- and hindfemora with or without an apical spine.

Number of species. 14 (Nos. 2–15).

Species groups: bolivari - and cerverae -species group.
