9. Ilex lancilimba Merr. View in CoL ( Aquifoliaceae ) in Lingnan Sci. J. 7: 312. 1929. TYPE:— CHINA. Guangdong: Yingde, Wengtan Shan, 14 October 1926, W. T. Tsang & K. C. Wong 2680 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 14541) (syntypes: UC 319213 image!, A 00049486 image!).
Tsang Wai Tak & Wong Kam Chow 14541 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Ilex lancilimba Merr. (Merrill, 1929). However, the collection number on the label of the syntype specimen in A (A 00049486) is 2680, while its herbarium number is C. C. C. 14541 (i. e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 14541). Thus, the erroneous collection number cited in the designation of type is to be corrected.
